Changes to the Concrete Moisture ASTM Standard F2170

Jason Spangler, Vice President of Sales for Wagner Meters, walks through the changes made to ASTM F2170, the concrete relative humidity testing standard, in the revision that produced F2170-11.

Those changes were made to ensure that manufacturers of in situ RH tests build products capable of accurate readings. The Rapid RH already met most of the revised requirements, needing only minor adjustments.

The standard has been revised several times since, so check the current version for the requirements that apply to your testing today.
