Expanded DataMaster™ Now an Easy-to-Use Mobile App
We were pretty proud when our Rapid RH® DataMaster™ won “Most Innovative Product Industry Choice Award for Concrete Construction Equipment” at the World of Concrete 2013 trade show. However, one of our hallmarks here at Wagner Meters is to always stay ahead of the curve by never being satisfied. Which is why we’re even happier today to share our newest version of the DataMaster™, our DataMaster™ app.
Taking advantage of updated technology, new expectations of how business can be done, and feedback from you – our valued customers, we’ve designed an app that tracks, stores, and reports data from both your Rapid RH® 4.0 Single Use and 5.0 Reusable concrete moisture sensors, using the NEW Rapid RH® Bluetooth® Smart Reader.
All the Convenience and Ease of an App
Like any app, you can download the new DataMaster™ onto your smartphone or tablet. It is available for most any Apple mobile device with iOS 7.1 or newer, including iPhone 4s or higher, iPad 3rd generation or newer, and any iPad Air or iPad Mini. It will soon be available for Android 4.3 or newer. Also, any device that specifically calls out “Bluetooth® Smart Ready.” No more need to carry around a second mobile device to get quick and accurate readings from your moisture sensors. We’ve designed the app’s user interface based on the best mobile design principles, so it will immediately feel familiar to you. It’s as intuitive and easy-to-use as your other favorite apps.
Host of New Features, Including More Data and Reporting Functions
In addition to being more convenient and easier to use than our award-winning DataMaster™ handheld, it also has more functions and reporting capabilities. For example, we included an “Annotation” screen that takes advantage of your phone’s other functions. Through the “Annotation” screen, you can attach photos or audio memos, as well as text notes.
The app lets you store more information about each job site and sensor, including data points like service temperature, target relative humidity (RH), slab thickness, and water to cement mix ratio. This is all in addition to the data collected by the original DataMaster™, such as sensor serial numbers, ambient conditions, RH readings, and date/time stamps.
The app keeps a record of each sensor, and each reading of the sensor. The data integrity feature means your data is read-only, giving you added peace of mind about the data’s accuracy and reliability.
We’re especially excited about the app’s Sensor Map function. The Sensor Map provides an image, along with relevant data, showing each sensor’s location. You’ll see the most recent RH and temperature reading next to each sensor’s icon on the Sensor Map. You can dig deeper into the Sensor Inventory details screen to see the full reading history and identification information for that sensor.
The app also converts all the data into PDF reports with visual analysis graphs. You can share these reports from the app via email or print them out to any wireless-enabled printer. There’s also an ASTM F2170 preformatted report that can be personalized with your own logo and business information. Between the preformatted report and data integrity controls in the DataMaster™ app, complying with the F2170 standard is right in your hand.
