Working with Bamboo Floors: Moisture and Treatment Concerns
When properly harvested and manufactured, bamboo for floors can rival hardwood floors in durability, strength, and aesthetic appeal. In addition, like hardwood, they also require installers to take special precautions to avoid potential moisture-related problems. What are these precautions? There are four of them and it helps to know them when working with bamboo flooring.
Bamboo Settings for Wagner Moisture Meters
At present, there is no standardized grading system for bamboo. Wagner Meters, however, is working with leading bamboo manufacturers like Johnson Premium Hardwood Flooring (with its Bamboo Series) and Teragren® Bamboo Flooring Products to provide accurate settings for its handheld moisture meters.
