No Testing Requirements ????
I was contacted by a potential client with ongoing substrate problems with a premium sheet vinyl, as well as resinous floor. The pictures provided showed clear evidence there are issues. That in itself is not as strange as my discovery on both manufacturer's websites...neither had ANY mention I could find for moisture testing...ASTM or otherwise!! Nowhere... not even in their installation instructions. Not sure if I'll get the testing assignment, but I'm dying to learn more.

RE: No Testing Requirements ????
If they mention ASTM F710 then there is an assumption 3# or 75%

RE: No Testing Requirements ????
You are absolutely correct. I kept digging for the guidelines for one of the manufacturers, and only by Googling different words was I able to FINALLY find the manufacturer's "general" testing guidelines. No testing guidelines were found for the particular line of floor covering. While I am glad I found something, I question why the information was so well hidden since it was not within the installation guidelines found within their corporate and product website. Huh

My bet, the moisture requirements are on the pail of adhesive & if you are dealing with one of the many 'distributors' who pawn themselves off as manufacturers, they change adhesives out at a whim.
