Stock Market Blues

#1
Sad
What a hit we took today!!! The Dow is down more than 4%, everything we gained for the year is gone.... I held on figuring when the debt ceiling issue was settled and the US kept its triple A rating that I'd be rewarded for hanging in there.... NOT! It's not like I have crazy stocks, I have Deere, Alcoa and Intel!!!

Hmmm, I should see if Wagner is publicly traded.... Tongue

If anybody knows when to pull out please let me know... And if there is anyplace to put money, let me know that!! I hear banks are thinking of CHARGING people for depositing excessive amounts of money.... Can you believe that??? Sad

Well Europe is about to Sh** a pickle as my friend says.... I don't have an optimistic outlook right now.... I know many of the funds have triggers to sell as the market dives, but I still think it's going to be a long road back....Sad

Friggin S&P....wern't they the ones who were rating all that junk that brought down.....helped bring down the house last time because of the housing loans? Now they make a teny 2 TRILLION DOLLAR MISTAKE........ oh well no wonder. Since the rest of the world is in the hole our sh** still does not stink so bad as some others. And people will still buy U.S junk bonds and treasury's.

Now Japan has the most debt and have a very low interest rate, but they owe the debt to themselves.....how do you do that......I guess we should just borrow from ourselves.Rolleyes

Don't we borrow from ourselves already?
I need to review my history, but I thought the treasury is a private entity that the US gives all its money to then borrows it back.

Rats, now I have to go look that up on a Sunday morning instead of enjoying my coffee on the back porch....

You're a hard man to like Stephen.... Tongue

It's 72 and raining cats and dogs this morning here in Wisconsin. I just woke my lab puppy up so she could go potty, and she's back to sleeping again. Maybe coffee will be had on the sofa this morn....

What did S&P rate all those Mortgage-Backed Securities AAA. Time for a smart congressman to have some hearings on that. I'd march up every single S&P executive looking for illegal acts. There had to be some collusion in all of that.

And people forget that Moody's and Fitch are still there.
