ICRI Certification
Who here is ICRI certified? http://www.icri.org/Certification/certificationinfo.asp
We have an amazing lack of certified people in California who are independent consultants. |

RE: ICRI Certification
Been meaning to go there sometime. Maybe next time they do it in Phoenix. Sounds like a good respectable cert.

ICRI is a relatively new organization, and their Concrete Slab Moisture Testing certification is very very new. I've been testing concrete slabs for 15 years now and have worked along side some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry. Concrete moisture is my life, not a sideline or an occasional thing I come across. I just can't see spending $900 for a wallet card stating that some kid watched me conduct proper ASTM testing one time. Maybe there's more to it, maybe not. I would like to know if they use Rapid Rh probes to conduct F2170 though. Does anybody know? JD Grafton Concrete Answers for Flooring Problems JGrafton@ccsolves.com |

I'd spend the rest of the day teaching the benefits of the Rapid RH system and mis my flight back!

RE: ICRI Certification
Just tell them your an official Wagner Rapid Rh concrete guru and thats the way it is. Then set up another class after the seminar and charge for it.

RE: ICRI Certification
I am certified through ICRI. Based in Florida. I believe they held a program in San Diego last year so there should be some around. Go to ICRI web site to find them.
ICRI has been around longer than you have been testing concrete slabs, and there are no children in the program looking over your shoulder only industry professionals who genuinely care about doing things right. You might just find out that you've been doing it wrong for the past 15 years. |

You are correct that I began professionally testing in 1996 so ICRI is older than my professional testing career. ![]() As for doing it wrong.... I guess it depends on who you ask!
