my opinion:
Calcium carbide testing is only as good as the opperator. For example if the "concrete" that is removed and pulverized for testing is really a piece of Rock that has little or no water in it the test will show very low. Calcium carbide works well for "self drying" screeds and self leveling cements that can not be accurately tested by other methods |
