The Rapid RH probes were designed to seal quite tightly in the hole they are inserted in. This insures precise measurement at a precise depth, which is one reason the probes are so accurate and reliable.
This tight fit makes them very hard to remove, and if they are removed the sealing flange may be damaged. They are intended for a single installation in concrete.
