RE: Ardex promotes the Wagner Rapid RH probe!
I have used K55 three times now and I haven't had the best of luck with it. I put my underlayment down at 3/16" and the K55 has always been thick and slow to heal. The next time I use it I'm going to add a touch of water. I always measure water very carefully and fudge just a bit to the dry side, but K55 is extremely water sensitive so I was told adding even a few ounces (which I will withhold normally) will make it flow much better.
K55 is the most expensive underlayment I have ever poured (well short of some that cost me half the price per bag and then a $300,000 claim when the leveler was recalled), so really the K55 is a steal when you think of it that way.
