RE: Drill Bit Longevity
I think I know what he means. As the tip starts losing carbide the drill gets dull and goes slower. One bit I had once I thought was okay even though it just had a little carbide left, and I started drilling and it was really slow. I put everything I had on the drill and when I finally gave up and pulled it out of the hole the end was just a smooth ball of melted steel. LOL.
I must have hit rebar or something. We used to drill hundreds of rebar pins into concrete cold joints. JD Grafton Concrete Answers for Flooring Problems JGrafton@ccsolves.com |
