From the pictures I've seen, the black tool pushes on the sleeve so it doesn't ruin the sensor.

Exactly. And I bought my package a month ago, yet there still is nothing in the literature mentioning that one must use the black insertion tool. Not on website either.

So I guess one sensor is not a big deal. But what if hundreds of sensors were ruined because there was no correction in the lit? Not a big deal to Wagner I guess. But it is to me.

I guess I'll pony up the 19 bucks for the stinkin one dollar piece of moulded krap plastic that shouda been sent out with the order.

I think they should balls up and cover their mistakes.

Like I said, my supplier doesn't have them, or the instructions, or anything.... just sensors in a baggie. Dodgy

I think I'll carve my own out of Black Walnut.

Well here is a video, looks very professionally made using the white insertion tool. This ain't that home made guy's video either.

Yeah, not sure about that first video. The hole looked way over 3/4 inch. And was the rabbit ICRI certified??

That video is the older Rapid RH one piece unit.... The new ones use the black insertion tool. Jason should have made the new probes hot pink. Tongue

It's evolution at it's best....or worst to better.

Is there any literature or video that specs using the AWOL Black Insertion Tool? Please, I beg, show it to me.

RE: Bad Sensor - CC Solutions - 12-05-2012 07:23 AM

That I can't tell you because as I said before, my probes come in a plain unmarked plastic sandwich bag without instructions. The bag doesn't even say Wagner on it. No contact info nothing. I am serious, it is a zip lock sandwich bag. Dodgy

Are you buying these in some back alley? Do you get fries with that?

I am shocked myself... I don't know if they buy bulk packs and break them apart or maybe they are buying imported knock-offs.

I think I will sneak by and see what is one the shelf now....
