I think I would have opted for a nicely color stained, sealed concrete surface. Granted they would have long term maintenance issues with waxing and re-sealing every couple of years or so, but it would have been breathable until the end of time.

oh... static disipating, heat welded ... well there are few manufacturers of those. Most are private labeled coppies
