How much to remove carpet? - CC Solutions - 08-24-2012 12:42 PM Glue down, commercial grade like Lees, in a big area. I hate being too high in price, I hate losing my butt on a job. We take out VCT and related adhesive for around $1/sf. Carpet can leave that dang stringy glue and be a real bear to pull out. And then getting rid of the adhesive, especially if it is Lees Wet Set... What a pain in the behind. We have a carpet puller and a Panther 6280.... And maybe 5 guys to help... What do you guys get to pull out glued-down carpet ? This job is about 750 yards. RE: How much to remove carpet? - Ernesto - 08-24-2012 08:15 PM I recently got over 2 Ducats a sf to pull out carpet tiles over blue glue and replace. But it was a small job , 250 sf in a Best Buy. But was not wet set either. Dang place has a horrible moisture problem. Other areas have gaps in the carpet tiles of 3/8 inches. The glue was all liquidy in spots. I hate commercial stuff but this pays the bills. In and out in 2 hours. |
