I don't know about you guys but I have been SLAMMED over the last month. Thus no posts.
It is nice to be busy again.

Congrats to you, but most of my clients are still holding their money pretty tight. I have a good core group so we aren't doing too bad, but we won't match 2010.

I have high expectations for 2012. Just finished an Elite Crete Systems Seminar and going to start doing concrete overlays, epoxy coatings and concrete restoration overlays.

I have customers asking me if I do those types of projects.... Are they interesting? Are they lucrative?

We also did dyes, acid staining and stamping with molds.
Looks promising. I often get calls about it as well so.....
But, not sure about you, one needs to know how to use a trowel.

Hey....
I have done stamped concrete with integral dyes and shakes. It's not all wine and roses I can assure you of that! And concrete trowels? Something tells me I have used them more than you...
Glue trowels I have maybe put down 2,000 sf.
But if I could land some nice commercial jobs staining and polishing concrete I would like that. If there is money in it. Or maybe resurfacing large retail stores and malls.

December was dead for me. Spent it working diligently on lead / project sourcing and marketing. I am optimistic about 2012, hoping my testing business will grow, along with more concrete exterior restoration work.

Does anyone have an airplane hanger I can practise on, I mean like 757 size?
Heck, if you can skimcoat or trowel thinset you can do this. I've skimcoated, screeded and installed tile in places for weeks on end for 35 years. Plus before that did gunite for pools.
I feel it's just a natural progression for me sine I live in concrete land.

I know your partial to Ardex systems, but heck, they don't travel so .....
They're just not the only game in town anymore. If they did a traveling show things may be different.

I stick with companies that I believe in, and that shoot straight. If I screw up, I admit it and move on. If a supplier or manufacturer makes a mistake, I expect them to own it. There are few companies out there like that. Ardex is one of them that I believe in.
Anyone can make products. Anyone can sell products. Anyone can install products. The test is when there are problems.
I'm looking into those companies you suggested. Let me know how your relationship goes with them too.
