RE: metal disks
RFID tag yes. But to prove there is a probe. You could have an RFID tag that has the serial numbers attached so you couldn't fake a test site.

But if you get to the point people think you faked it... you've already lost.

RE: metal disks
I've never had a problem. Is this really a concern? I can't imagine any scenario where this would actually be a concern.....

RE: metal disks
Pictures of the test sites, numbered and job should be on the concrete along a time date stamp on the pics should be in the loop. This provides concrete verification that indeed the tests were done.

Hard to argue with that.

RE: metal disks
I can set my time stamp to say anything I want on my camera... Anyone can. And all concrete looks the same in a photo.

You have to do it like they do in kidnapping cases where the bad guy takes a local newspaper front page with the date on it... Big Grin

RE: metal disks
I could photo shop your newspaper photo ifin I wanted to but who wants to take the time to do that? I have used my cell phone in pics with the time and date on it as well. If your not taken pictures your not documenting properly.

If it comes down to it and it very well might, any lawyer who questions your photos is going to have to prove they are manipulated. And that takes time and lots of lawyers fees.

RE: metal disks
One method of documentation that i have adopted is to grab an object from the job site that can only be linked to that particular site, such as a business card with the sites address on it and the person's name that you met at the site prior to and during the testing. Also i use a camera that is GPS enabled in order to geographically stamp my general location. With this same camera i always take the pictures in order from the first picture
of the exterior building envelope along with any available signage to the same picture of the building envelope with time and GPS stamping that is emailed to myself from my camera and saved to my internet email box and stored forever.

Wow, great ideas FloorMedic! And WELCOME to the group! Exclamation

Again, I've never run into a problem, but you guys have some great ideas how to circumvent future questioning of your data. Lightbulb

RE: metal disks
FloorMedic has good advice. I've never seen one of those cameras. But I have taken pics with background that are clearly recognizable. But thats not always possible.
