Harrahs. Central to tram since Ron and I will be pulling double duty between WOC and Surfaces and jumping between the two venues.

Do they have pull-out couches at Harrah's? I need a place to stay and I can't sign in at a hotel under my own name. Long story about Vegas... I can't find a hotel near the strip that will take cash --- no questions asked either.

Hee hee, whats the odds? Get us a boxing ring. Can I bet on myself?Big Grin

Functioning vapor retarder, balh blah blah. Can you imagine how many floors I've installed wood and vinyl over in the last 35 years? Do you realize how many homes do not have a functioning vapor retarder I have installed moisture sensitive flooring in out here?

I used to do strictly vinyl for years, Standard Brands, Color Tile, Sam Levitz and Sears. And then I started doing wood glue down. Thats before anyone knew there even was a moisture test or these meters and electronic contraptions. None of mine failed.

Why,,,, I can smell a wet slab when I walk in the door, I can also ride a bicycle with no hands. I've been installing floors when you all were in diapers, now you want me to listen to your nonsense?

I also can read data sheets.

This is still the wild west and dammit, I have a six shooter and a bullet with your name on it sonny.

The vast majority of moisture failures in recent years has nothing to do with the quality of installation and everything to do with structural changes.

I DID get you a boxing ring- I started a thread on reliability of MMS with high RH readings! It doesn't take much with you blokes.... Big Grin Jason, I expect royalties from the takings please. Cool

Still, I'm all the better for it because these debates make for teachable moments, to use an Obamaism.

Quote:Now for your claim that any after the fact high reading will void any warranty. Thats complete nonsense. If that were true there would be no flooring going down and no glue sales.

As much as I'm inclined to agree with this, I think generally most contractors approach a job with eyes wide open- namely, that if a manufacturer wants to sneak out of a warranty, if it gets deep into litigation, they will find a way somehow.
